The Walking Dead is a new show on AMC about [what else?] the Zombie Apocalypse. The show centers around Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) who awakes from a coma to find civilization has all but ended and the dead walk the Earth. His mission is to locate his missing wife and son who he believes to be alive.
I have to say that I have been impressed with the show so far. The effects are very well done, the production value is high, and the acting has been believable. Obviously there are scenes with violent content, blood, etc. [come on, it's a zombie movie] but it doesn't seem like they are going for blood and gore just for the sake of having it [like Zombieland did].
